To begin with, before introducing the list let’s recall what Goblin Slayer series has offered us. Even the thought of this series hypes me up. Well, Goblin Slayer is a blend of Action-packed dark-fantasy Japanese series, released in 2018. It was created by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatsuki.
This series is filled with intense battle and brutal violence scenes, a pure dark fantasy series. First few episodes will thrill you to the bones, you’ll get to see some Goblins committing horrifying acts to women and young girls.
To sum up, the series revolves around a silver ranked wanderer whose only purpose is to hunt down Goblins. He was known as Goblin Slayer, why was he only interested in killing goblins with so much hatred?
Well, when he was young, his village was attacked by Goblin’s and witnessed his older sister being raped and murdered. He was the only survivor of the village and grew up into a ruthless man with a homicidal obsession of killing all goblins. As the series progresses it introduces many other captivating characters.

The humans of this world are losing conflicts against a group of great warriors called Ends. This group of warriors want to conquer the world and kill all the Drifters. The series focuses on a character named Shimazu Toyohisa.
During the Battle of Sekigahara, as he leaves the battlefield critically wounded, Toyohisa finds himself next to a mysterious corridor of doors. There a man wearing glasses greets him, named Murasaki, he transports Toyohisa to another world via the nearest door.
There Toyohisa meets other great warriors transported as well. They were all gathered to join the group called drifters in order to save the world from the corrupted group Ends.

The series starts in a near future, where wolves are believed to be hunted to extinction nearly 200 years ago. However, they still exist and survive by disguising themselves as human and living among them.
The wolves were in search of a Lunar flower wandering around the Freeze city. According to an old legend only wolves can find a place known as paradise, if they follow the scent of the flower.
Cheza, the source of the smell also called the Flower Maiden. She was created through alchemy from a Lunar flower, she requires sunlight and water to survive. She was asleep in an experimental lab.

The main characters of the series are Manato – a priest who ultimately becomes the group leader. Haruhiro – a thief of the group and is later forced to become the leader of the group after Manato’s death. Also, Ranta, Moguzo, Yume, Shihoru, Merry and Kazuka. This adventure is born from the ashes, let’s see what awaits them in future…

One day, a Jomsviking, arrives to Thorfinn’s village and enroll Thor into battle, but his main motive was to murder Thor. Thorfinn witnesses his father’s murder and decides to take revenge. As the story progresses the series Thorfinn eventually starts his journey as avenger.

Gantz, this anime series is based on Japanese manga series created by Hiroya Oku. This series revolves around a pair of high school students, Kei Kurono and Masaru Kato, both of whom die in a train accident in the attempt to save a drunk homeless man. The pair eventually become a part of Semi-posthumous game, during which deceased people are forced to slaughter aliens.
The pair find themselves in an apartment in Tokyo with several other participants, where they’re greeted by Joichiro Nishi, a Gantz veteran. At the corner of the room there’s an outsized black sphere referred to as Gantz. When the sphere opens the participants are provided with tools like suits, X-gun, X-shotgun etc.
Gantz orders the participants to kill all the target aliens living on earth which can take a variety of forms, and during the mission they’re invisible to the normal people.
Well, as the anime progresses it shows the darker side with lots of action, gruesome violence and Bloodcurdling. If you’ve liked Goblin Slayer, you’ll definitely like this anime too…

Shigurui, a Japanese manga series by Takayuki Yamaguchi inspired from the first chapter of the novel Suruga-jo Gozen Jiai by Norio Nanjo. This series begins in the year of 1629 Shizuoka, during Tokugawa Tadanaga’s rule in Japan. The story fouces Gennosuke Fujiki, a stoic star pupil of the Kogan dojo.
The daimyo conducts a tournament where the participants fight with real swords rather than bokken (wooden sword), against his vassals’ strong objection. The story follows the primary match between the one-armed swordsmen GennosukeFujiki and therefore the blind samurai Irako Seigen.
The story deals with the circumstances that led the two to participate in Tokugawa’s tournament. This series is very similar to Goblin Slayer, the main character being relentless and merciless just like Goblin slayer. The anime is praised for its intricate character design, animation and gruesome action scenes.
