Why one punch, man? This series tells a story of a superhero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch. In overload, Momonga, with his high skills, decides to rule the world to escape from his daily work. Similarly, here one punch man Saitama, a normal human, trained his body for years to become his ideal all-powerful. 

With his straight face, Saitama has gained a lot of popularity with his decent attitude yet with supernatural power. However, he was growing bored due to his overwhelming strength and sought to find a worthy opponent. 3.    SEIKEN NO BLACKSMITH.

This anime series is also known as “The Sacred Blacksmith” and “Seiken No Katanakaji” and has all 16 volumes to date. It is based on a Japanese Light novel series written by Isao Miura and illustrated by Luna. It is an adventure story of a duo named Cecily Campbell and Luke Ainsworth.

Here, Cecily is a 3rd generation knight, a strong and smart girl with great leadership qualities. She leads a group of knights and mercenaries and protects her city from monsters and thieves. 

And on the other side, Luke is a blacksmith with a renowned talented swordsman; he lives with Cecily after saving her life from certain death. Cecily gets impressed by Luke’s swordsmanship and beautiful katana; eventually, Luke falls in love with Cecily and promises to stay together forever. And their adventures start!

It is an anime series that starts shortly following the advanced technology of VRMMORPG games, letting players experience virtual reality gaming with a special helmet called NerveGear. This series focuses on a duo protagonist character named “Kirito” in the gaming world and “kirigaya” in the real world and “Asuna yuki.” 

The plot will scare the shit out of you; imagine playing a virtual reality game and get stuck there, and the only way to escape is defeating a boss at 100 level towers. In this series, kirito is the strongest player out of the 10,000 players who log in for the first time, unaware of consequences and getting stuck in the game.

Later, the creator “kayaba” appears in the game and announces that to escape from this game, players must defeat all the 100 floors of Aincrad. Many lost their lives while they were in the game; being a beta tester, kirito decides to defeat the boss, along with his friends and other strong guilds, before it’s too late.

Fortunately, the duo realizes and finds out the creator who was also playing along with them; they freed themselves after destroying the creator Kayaba. However, Kazuto discovers Asuna and other 300 SAO players were still trapped in their Nerve Gear in the real world. So, do you think Kirito can save the remaining players?

5.    LOG HORIZON.

This fantasy series Log Horizon is also similar to the overlord series. This series is based on Japanese novel series written by Mamare Touno and illustrated by Kazuhiro Hara. Like any other sci-fi and fantasy series, this story focuses on the online multiplayer game Elder tale that connects MMORPG worlds. 

In the story, the game becomes a global success with millions of users by its eleventh expansion pack, but something incredible happens during the release of its twelfth expansion pack. About 30,000 Players from Japan who logged in at the time of the update got transported to the gaming world and got into their in game-avatars.

The main character “Shiroe,” who was also a gamer, decides to team up with his friends Akatsuki and Naotsugu to survive and face the challenges in the game world together. 

6.    GATE.

Gate series is predicated on a Japanese fantasy novel series written by Takumi Yanai and illustrated by Kurojishhi and Daisuke Izuka. This story focuses on a modern city Ginza, Tokyo, where suddenly, out of the blue, a portal connecting another world appears from where the story begins.

From the portal, all sorts of dangerous creatures and Roman-style medieval soldiers emerge into the city and start attacking. However, the JSDF easily drives them away back to their world.

However, after three months, a reserve JSDF officer named “Yoji Itami” is sent along with a special recon team to the other world through the Gate to investigate and initiate peace negotiations with the king of the other world. But eventually, due to certain circumstances, JSDF is forced to engage in aggressive combat to bring about a peaceful conclusion.

Hence, a series of cataclysmic disruptions occur, and the earth starts to drift away from its real point. So, how will the JSDF stop this destruction? They’ve to end both civil wars and close the Gate before it’s too late.

7.    QUAN ZHI GAO SHOU.

This anime series is also named “The King’s Avatar,” and it has two seasons. This series aired in 2017; based on the Chinese web novel written by Hu Die Lan, it focuses on a character “Ye Xiu,” a professional esports player from china. The story revolves around an online multiplayer game called “Glory” Ye Xiu was known as the best player and was named “Battle God” for his legendary skills.

However, later he was forced to leave the competitive scene and the strongest account. Later, after retiring from the game, he finds work at an internet café where he finds a former team member who happens to be a big fan. As time goes, Yi Xiu decides to join the competitive scene again and continues playing the game.

He starts to build a character from scratch to participate in the championship and achieve glory. With his skills, he will surely gain fame again, but the actual challenge is to reach the top again.

Death Parade is a Japanese anime television series written, created, and directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa and produced by Madhouse. In this anime, after death, the souls are sent to a mysterious bar where they’ve to compete in death games with their souls in the stack; the results decide what their fate will be afterward.

The Bar runs by bartenders serving as a referee who judge if the souls will be sent for reincarnation or banished into the void between the world and the reincarnation.  However, the series focuses on “Decim,” alone bartender of “Quindecim bar,” with his assistant “chiyuki.” Only a pair of souls are welcomed, which means when two people died simultaneously are sent there.

This anime series is also known as “Death March Kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku,” from January 11 to March 29, 2018. It is a fantasy series based on a Japanese light novel sequel written by “Hiro Ainana.” This series focuses on a 29-year-old game programmer named “Ichiro Suzuki”; in the story, his task was to fix bugs in two MMORPGs.

One day after working vigorously during weekends, he takes a power nap, and here the story begins. After the nap, he wakes up to a mysterious parallel RPG world in the body of a 15-year-old boy named “Satou Pendragon,” a name he used for running a beta test.

The moment he wakes to the parallel world, he gets attacked by an army of lizardmen. In desperation to save himself, he uses all three of his special “Meteor Rain” attacks at once and wipes them all out, and accidentally kills a God too. As a result, his level increases from 1 to 310, and he eventually becomes the most powerful person in the world.

However, it’s all fun and games until you can log out to your world whenever you want to, but here he had no way to return to his world. Now, do you think he can find a way to escape from that world? Or will he remain there forever?

Youjo Senki, also known as “The Saga of Tanya the Evil,” is based on a Japanese light novel sequel written by “Carlo Zen” and illustrated by “Shinobu Shinotsuki.” A second season has been announced to be published soon. This story starts in the modern era of Tokyo and focuses on an unnamed Japanese salaryman who was an atheist.

One day he gets confronted by an entity that declares itself to be God and reprimed the salaryman for not having faith. 

However, the salaryman being an atheist disbelieves its words and, in a sarcastic way, terms it as “Being X.” As a result, the entity reincarnates the salaryman into a world where he would face enough difficult circumstances and switch to believe in God.

Later, the salaryman was reborn as an orphaned girl named “Tanya Degurechaff,” in a world where magical world war I dragged on. Regardless of this, Tanya degurechaff turns into a ruthless military soldier and earns magical power hoping to reach a higher rank to avoid involvement in the battlefield.
